Celtic Soccer Academy - Technique, Tactics, and Sportmanship
Celtic Soccer Academy offers a unique soccer experience that will help players to remain focused on improving their technical skills throughout the entire summer.  Our coaching staff includes some of the best coaches in Connecticut who are dedicated to improving the quality of soccer in our state. Our goal at Celtic Soccer Academy is to make sure that each player leaves camp as a better, more skillful and confident soccer player who has enjoyed the overall camp experience while touching a ball more than 14,000 times.
Celtic Soccer Academy follows the US Youth Soccer Player Development Model.  Campers will be divided into groups based on age and ability to ensure that each player is being challenged at the right level.  Our program is based on a mix of instruction and ball mastery skills followed by fun games, small-sided scrimmages, contests, and tournaments.
At the younger age levels (ages 7 to 10), the focus is placed on the development of core technical skills. Under the direction of a first-class coaching staff, campers will be exposed to dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, heading and small-sided games that emphasize touches on the ball, possession, creativity, and fun!
In addition to improving core technical skills, the next age level (ages 11 to 14) will progress to learning basic tactics.  Our staff will provide tactical instruction and advice, but we will also encourage players to make tactical decisions on their own during small-sided scrimmages and full-sided games.  Campers will encounter soccer-specific problems and discover solutions.  At this level, campers will also learn to communicate with each other on the field.
The curriculum for the older age group (ages 15 to 18) includes technical skill mastery, tactical awareness, physical training, and mental conditioning.  The purpose of this camp is to prepare players for the rigors of premier and college soccer.  This staff at this camp will consist of current and former Division I college players who knows what it takes to play at the college level.
